* Czech Republic Election Update: The Czech elections will be held on October 20-21, less than a week after Austria votes on October 15th.
** We will provide more information in the coming days, but felt the need to warn against the TOP 09 group of Karel Schwarzenberg and Miroslav Kalousek. We would prefer the Czechs vote to keep the Top 09 below the 5% electoral threshold. This is a possibility.
Both Schwarzenberg and Kalousek are fierce opponents of Viktor Orban and the leaders of Poland. We feel they would attempt to drive the Czechs away from the V4 to embrace “EU Solidarity”. This, of course, was the road chosen by Sweden and Austria.
Schwarzenberg disagrees with the current government’s attitude towards migrants and quotas. The “Prince” (yes, he is a real Prince) believes the Czech Republic should accept many more migrants.
“We could certainly integrate them much more than we think. When Germany can handle 800,000, we can have 80,000. I assure you it would not be a problem.”
Apparantly, Prince Schwarzenberg believes in “Fairytales” or he has chosen to ignore the many problems associated with mass migration in Germany and Austria.
80,000 migrants for the Czech Republic? We are surprised the Prince of Schwarzenberg did not add, “We can do it”.
