V4Report: Andrej Babiš, the winner of the Czech election last week, speaks on migration and border security.

* Czech Republic: Andrej Babiš, the winner of the Czech election last week, speaks on migration and border security.

“We certainly have an ally in Austria, Mr Kurz, who has the same view as we do on migration,” explained Babiš referring to Austria’s new conservative leader Sebastian Kurz, who will likely form a coalition with the Freedom Party.

** The Czech election is over and it’s time to move forward. Some, including us, may not have been happy with the results, but this is the reality. There are only two options:
1). To complain, which accomplishes nothing.
2). Move forward to support Babis when his actions are aligned with our goals, while challenging him if he strays from the pledges responsible for his election success.

*** Babis stated that the Czech Republic and the V4 must seek additional allies to fight for their common goal of securing the border and halting the mass influx of illegal migrants flooding Europe.

The V4 Report has advocated this “CEE strategy” for some time now and we do think that Viktor Orban is gaining allies regarding this issue. The EU’s migrant quota plan was a complete failure with a success rate of less than 30%. Quietly, many others were defying Brussels. In addition, we believed early in 2017 that the election in Austria would be the “game changer”.

– “We have to prepare topics and propose to the European Council what we want to change. Double food quality, solution to migration, the fight against migration and other issues,” Babis told Reuters in a brief interview at ANO headquarters. We are encouraged by the double emphasis on “migration”.

Babis added, “The Visegrad group must find other allies. We need Austria and other countries in the Balkans, Slovenia, Croatia and perhaps others.”

Correct, Mr. Babis. You will not find many allies in your fight against migration at the ALDE group in Brussels. Your strongest allies are in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the various other CEE nation states.

Viktor Orban and Visegrad have already built the foundation with all the countries mentioned above participating in the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC), a group working together to secure the Balkan route from illegal migration.

While the outgoing PM Bohuslav Sobotka disgraced himself during the last weeks of the election and added little value to Visegrad, we welcome the efforts of Babis to help the V4 strengthen and broaden this base. The extremist Guy Verhofstadt and the unelected clerks in Brussels have a different agenda on migration. The CEE nations must present a united front against their multicult manifesto.

While a small, bitter cabal of media elite and “EU opportunists” in Prague will continue to push the nation towards Emmanuel Macron’s multicult EU Core, the people of the Czech Republic have made it quite clear that their foundation in Europe is with the V4 and CEE nation states.

The future of Europe is not the “B Team” of France and Belgium, but the dynamic growth region of Central Europe.

Onward V4! Stay strong and united.
