Brussels on steroids: The 2018 UN Declaration for Refugees and Migrants must be defeated

* Brussels on steroids: The 2018 UN Declaration for Refugees and Migrants must be defeated and defied. The UN is seeking to establish a global mechanism to cover “all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner”. This is alarming.

The UN has morphed into a radical organization pushing their multicult manifesto of open-borders and mass migration on all. The leaders of the UN live in a different world and are out of touch with reality. Regarding migration, the UN’s rhetoric has been irresponsible and they have shown no regard for the safety and security of Europeans. This will be an absolute disaster, like most endeavors the UN gets itself involved with.

All of this work will be undertaken in accordance with the multi-stakeholder, ‘whole-of-society’ approach endorsed by the General Assembly in the New York Declaration. The UN has many “stakeholders”, which include: international organizations, international financial institutions, regional organizations, regional coordination and partnership mechanisms, civil society partners, including faith-based organizations and academia, the private sector, media and the refugees themselves.

How does one become a stakeholder in the UN? Somehow, we know the type of players who will be heavily involved in this global pact on migration.

– The global compact for migration will be the first, intergovernmentally negotiated agreement, prepared under the auspices of the United Nations, to cover all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner.

All dimensions of international migration? Wow, this is a frightening thought. Will this “global compact” nullify the policies of the nation states to regulate migration as their elected leaders see fit? If so, what is the enforcement procedure against those not in compliance?

– In the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, adopted in September 2016, the General Assembly decided to develop a global compact for “safe, orderly and regular migration”. The General Assembly will then hold an intergovernmental conference on international migration in 2018 with a view to adopting the global compact.

“Safe, orderly and regular migration” sounds very familiar. It sounds as if the EU Ministers and certain international philanthropists have been working closely with the UN stakeholders.

– By February 2018 UNHCR will prepare a draft of the Global Compact on Refugees and formal consultation with Member States and “other relevant stakeholders” will commence.

Following consultations, the Global Compact on Refugees will be presented in the High Commissioner’s 2018 Annual Report to the General Assembly.

New battles seem to emerge daily between those who worship global government and those who cherish the nation state. However, the leaders of the nation states are not mindless sheep and they do not have to sign this declaration. The UN is no longer a respected institution and they do not have the moral authority to develop “global compacts” on migration.

Who desires to be governed by “UN stakeholders”? The whole concept of world government is at odds with freedom, democracy and natural law. We highly object to this UN Initiative to expand their scope and power and call on responsible leaders to reject this monstrosity.

Defiance and independent thought can be very beneficial at times. The world needs more of it.
