Italy crisis: Is Merkel’s regime about to fall?
Maybe, but don’t expect new elections. The establishment is afraid of a Salvini/Meloni victory. Imagine that, they don’t want to leave it up to the Italian voters.
Instead, if PM Conte fails to secure enough backing, he would likely submit his resignation. In that case, another ‘technical government’ would most likely be put in place. Analysts believe an early election is the least likely outcome, for the reason we mentioned above.
Matteo Renzi’s small Italia Viva party (down to 3% in the polls) effectively stripped PM Conte of his majority in the Senate, leaving him scrambling to fill the hole.
Renzi is a clown and as the former PM he allowed Italy to be flooded with illegals. Desperate and losing relevance, Renzi is probably trying to make some noise.
Another twist rests with this bogus trial of Salvini for defending the borders. The establishment wants to prevent him from holding office in the future.
Again, the tactics of the left…to silence and blackball the opposition. Dangerous precedents are again being set across the globe. The establishment and their mercenaries in the media have a peculiar definition of democracy and freedom.
