No longer waiting for the farce of EU solidarity: the Czech Republic finally requests delivery of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine in response to the EU debacle.
“After consulting the prime minister, I have sent a letter to [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, asking him for a supply of the Sputnik vaccine,” President Milos Zeman said on TV Prima.
“Information from the Russian embassy suggests it could arrive in the next few days.”
Zeman said he would not mind if the country used the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine either as “vaccines have no ideology.”
Whether one believes in the vaccine or not, this entire theatre has been an embarrassment for the EU Commission, which is obsessed with cheap, self-promotion.
Somehow, Brussels always manages to ‘shoot out its own eyes’. 👀
