The New Right’s increasing influence in Europe: Parties of the right to nearly double seats in the upcoming EU elections.
A manipulative media still tries to label them as “far right”, but this game is over and their old slogans no longer resemble reality. Four of the cornerstones (Fidesz, League, PiS and FPO) now carry much weight in Europe and either lead or are influential members of ruling coalitions in Hungary, Italy, Poland and Austria.
– Who will be the losers? According to Bild, both the EPP and Socialist groups are heading in the wrong direction and face big losses. Manfred Weber’s European People’s Party (EPP), which includes Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU, was expected to lose 43 seats, dropping to 174.
The Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats (S&P) is predicted to lose 45 seats to 141.
According to Bild, the loss of support for the so-called mainstream parties meant they would not be able to form a “grand coalition” in the parliament, such as the one ruling Germany.
The Grand Coalition in Germany? Who would want this model for Europe? One knows exactly what is happening to Germany.
– The winners? The poll published on Saturday showed the Europe of Nations and Freedom Group, which includes Austria’s FPO party and Matteo Salvini’s League, were likely to win 67 seats.
Parties of the right came out on top in three of the six countries surveyed, including Poland, which is led by the ruling PiS party. France and Italy were the others.
* The winds of change have emerged in Europe and they are here to stay. The battle for Europe is right here and right now. The bell has been rung and the right must unite under the leadership of Salvini, Orban, the PiS and FPO.
If not now, then when? Onwards! 🔔🥊
