* Austria: The media’s post-election smear campaign targets the Freedom Party in a desperate attempt to intimidate Sebastian Kurz.
** The New York Times urges Kurz to shun the FPO (and the Austrian people) in order to form a government with the SPO. We knew it was coming.
On August 20th, we said, “Expect the Berlin-Brussels cabal and their mercenaries in the media to slander the FPO and to pressure Kurz unmercifully in an effort to influence the election.”
On September 13th we wrote, “First, they will attempt to portray the FPO as ‘extremists’, then they will pressure Kurz to embrace ‘responsible’ EU stewardship by shunning the so-called ‘nationalists’ of the FPO.”
*** It has indeed started. The NYTimes is a radical, open-border organization that has consistently smeared the people of Hungary, Poland and the V4. They are strong allies of Angela Merkel and the multicult industry.
The NYTimes lost all credibility years ago and is best remembered for becoming embroiled in controversy over their coverage of Iraq’s Weapons of Mass Destruction program, both before and after the 2003 invasion. The NYTimes later determined that a number of stories a reporter had written for the paper were inaccurate, but only after major damage was done.
Now, the NYTimes will try to sabotage an OVP-FPO coalition by slandering the FPO in an effort to intimidate Sebastian Kurz. Many others, including leaders of the EU Core, will soon join the attacks.
**** As we advised in our post yesterday, Sebastian Kurz must remember the issues (migration, multicult) that propelled him to victory, the one party (FPO) that will help him achieve his goals and those who helped secure the Balkan route. It was not Angela Merkel, the SPO or Brussels, but Viktor Orban and the V4.
We do not believe Kurz will fall for this trap, but he will be under intense pressure by many outside of Austria to reject the Freedom Party. Perhaps, this is the first test of his credibility. As we detailed yesterday, the majority of Austrians (58%) voted for a conservative government coalition. Clearly, they voted for change, not the old, establishment coalitions of the past.
**** We will not dwell on such bottom-shelf, group-think propaganda unleashed by the cultural Marxists at The NYTimes. Instead of debating facts relevant to today’s debate, the NYTimes traveled back “67 years” to try to associate a party today with one in the 1950’s. Quite a stretch.
If the NYTimes wants to play this game, they may want to investigate the associations of some of the EU Founders. In fact, Federica Mogherini, EU Minister of Foreign Affairs, was a member of the Italian Communist Youth Federation from 1988-1996, only 21 years ago. Should we go on?
The operation to nullify the will of the people in Austria has begun. Sebastian Kurz and the OVP must stand firm to resist the mafia-style tactics utilized by a manipulative media to push their radical beliefs on all.
The media is no longer independent. It’s time “push back”
