Austria: What is Kurz doing besides talking? What a showman….He fits in well with Merkel, Weber and Tusk at the EPP Party.
– This year already 15,000 illegals for Austria. Kurz likes to put on a show with press conferences announcing additional troops at the border with expensive drones and equipment. The problem: the soldiers are only allowed to “greet” the illegals to let them into the country. No pushbacks to deny entry.
Typical of an EPP party man.
– FPÖ General Secretary Michael Schnedlitz referred to it as “State-organized smuggling”. That may be a little harsh, but Austria is certainly not defending the border in the traditional manner, nor have the number of deportations been meaningful. It’s all a show.
Schnedlitz said the asylum policy of the ÖVP is sold to the media as improved border protection. But in truth there are more and more illegals in Austria who, if they were picked up, would be brought to Eisenstadt or Schwechat, organized by the state, where they could then enjoy all the amenities.
He pities the many soldiers and police officers deployed at the borders: They may have the most expensive equipment, including drones and night vision devices – but if they locate illegal immigrants, who of course immediately pronounce the magic word “asylum”, they are only allowed to register and bring them to the nearest reception center, such as Traiskirchen, where they are guaranteed full care until their asylum procedure has been completed.
No deportations to Hungary, Slovakia or Slovenia are allowed, even though they are safe countries (The V4 Report would say smart countries). As FPÖ party leader Herbert Kickl once said so aptly, Austria is using its own outdated laws or those of the EU itself when it comes to illegal migration.
– Schnedlitz recommends suspending the right of asylum as the only solution for national security.
In fact, Austria is surrounded exclusively by safe countries. The FPÖ has therefore long been calling for the right of asylum to be suspended for illegal migrants who want to choose their destination country.
** Why has the V4 Report been so critical of the EPP Party since the very beginning? The party (including Germany’s CSU of Bavaria) tries to portray itself as something it is not…conservative defenders of Europe and tough on borders. As long as they continue to work with the left and Greens to blackball national conservatives, Europe will continue to be flooded with aggressive males from alien cultures.
Orban was right, although late, to leave the EPP. We consider the EPP to be the main obstacle to the right in Europe….Orban is the one leader who can unite national conservatives to challenge the EPP frauds.
