Czech Republic PM Andrej Babis compares Europe to ‘Asterix’s Besieged Village’, and insists that “we have the right to defend our borders, our lifestyle, our heritage and our culture.”

Describing mass migration from the world’s poorest and most violence-plagued regions as a “threat to European civilisation”, Babiš last month stressed that asylum seekers must be helped within the region of their homeland, telling national television: “We do not want to live here in Africa or the Middle East. We have to stop [immigration from these places].”

* Well, this is a fine article and the V4 Report agrees wholeheartedly with what Babis has to say above. We admire his candor, however, there may be major contradictions in what Babis says and the actions taken by his government.

Consider the two global initiatives that Babis fails to mention. We are not sure exactly where Babis stands on both the UN Compact for Migration or the Istanbul Convention (IC), which is being promoted by Brussels, extreme feminists and the far-left Council of Europe.

If Babis and his government ratifies either, then all of his tough talk against Brussels will be futile, and he can forget about defending the Czech Republic’s borders, heritage, lifestyle or culture.

We will admit that Babis is saying all the right things when it involves the EU’s attempts to force mass migration on Europe. However, his efforts will be seen as empty and insincere if he accepts the provisions of either Istanbul or the UN migration monstrosity.

While one promotes “safe, orderly and regular” migration via the UN, the other (IC) will introduce absurd “gender identity” theories and other nonsense rooted in cultural Marxism into Czech society.

Babis simply cannot defend Czech sovereignty and culture while transferring powers to far-Left NGOs or allowing the UN to influence the migration policies of the Czech Republic.

By the end of this year, we shall see what Andrej Babis is really made of. Will he stand with the Czech nation to oppose the UN Migration Pact and the poison of the IC…or will he submit to the demands of Guy Verhofstadt and the ALDE gang in Brussels?

The clock is ticking for Andrej Babis.
