Czech Republic: Czechs may follow Hungary in using vaccines not registered in the EU.
Why shouldn’t they after the EU Commission failed to walk their talk?
But why does Czech PM Babis have to run it by Angela Merkel and Germany first if he wants the Russian vaccine available for Czechs?
Babis said he had also spoken about the issue with German officials, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, who he said wanted Russian or Chinese vaccines to be given European approval. (Notice how Orban takes action while Merkel waits for EU approval).
Other EU countries have blindly followed the European regulator EMA, which has so far approved only three vaccines from Western companies. This EU groupthink mentality is exasperating and mindless.
Whether one agrees or disagrees with his choice, Viktor Orban did not wait for EU approval to do what he thinks is best for his nation…and neither should Babis.
Quite frankly, while I will not be getting any of the vaccines (nor will I criticize others that do), the Russian dose is showing promise and the EU needs to end this silly game of demonizing anything that comes from Russia.
Russia is not perfect (neither is the EU! 😂) but its scientists are talented and quite proud of their work. It’s mind-boggling that some in the EU would automatically think that Russian scientists would risk their reputations by offering an inferior product.
The EU Commission needs to grow up and to start acting like adults…as do the leaders of the nation-states.
The people elected Babis and others to represent them, not the delusional Eurocrats in Brussels.
