Defend Croatia writes, “She smiles a lot in the office, but when she needs to stand in defense of Croatian sovereignty, she’s nowhere.”
* Or she’s everywhere (all over the map) regarding the UN Compact…one minute enthusiastically endorsing it, then saying she will not sign it, next rationalizing that she’s neither for it nor against it, and finally claiming someone else should deal with it and “in no way do I want it to be a controversial issue for Croatian society or for international relations”.
Nothing like taking a firm stance.
Like it or not, Kolinda, the migration compact is controversial and it will have an impact on Croatian society. We don’t care what Angela Merkel or George Soros think; it’s not up to German politicians or unelected globalists to decide Croatia’s future, but Croatians themselves.
Compare the Croatian President’s weak remarks to Austria’s Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache who clearly explained, “We are only responsible to our Austrian population as government officials. Austrian sovereignty has top priority for us, this must be preserved and protected.”
At this point, we think the President has even confused herself. We have no idea what she is trying to accomplish, besides some damage control.
TAKE A STAND, Kolinda!
