* EU to resettle 50,000 migrants from North Africa. This is only the start.
** As we reported several weeks ago, the EU is extending and enlarging the relocation mechanism to include migrants from Africa. In other words, they are unilaterally altering the definition of a refugee in order to change “illegal migration” into “legal migration”. This is only the beginning of their efforts to fulfill the Soros Plan for Europe.
– The European Commission said that it has set aside €500m to fund the resettlement of migrants from Libya, Egypt, Niger, Sudan, Chad and Ethiopa in order to deter illegal migration and reduce the attraction of people-smugglers.
“Europe has to show that it is ready to share responsibility with third countries, notably in Africa,” said EU Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos. Share responsibility? What responsibility is Africa sharing? Avramopoulos is an unelected EU clerk from Greece. Who is he or any other low-shelf EU Commissioner, such as Vera Jourova, to speak for the whole of Europe?
Of course, this is nonsense and will only lure more migrants to Europe. The flow will continue and the migrants will not be denied entry. This is a ploy by Brussels to expand relocation instead of deporting the migrants back to Africa. What is the plan for the 180,000+ that reached Europe this year from Libya? It is very clear where the EU is headed. Just as George Soros outlined, the leaders of Brussels will keep introducing more “relocation” schemes year after year. It will be endless.
– At a press conference in Brussels, Mr Avramopoulos also said the EU would put restrictions on states introducing border controls that go against the spirit of Schengen. “If all theses rumours that Schengen is at stake are justified and Schengen dies, I’m afraid it will be the beginning of the end of Europe,” claimed the career bureaucrat from Greece.
We have a message for Avramopoulos: Drop the drama and get over yourself. Schengen is already dead because the EU refused to secure the external border and failed to muster the courage to deport the illegal migrants. Yes, the EU may come to an “end” but it is not Europe that will be dying, but your career.
In fact, the demise of the EU may well lead to the rebirth of a much stronger and competitive Europe. Its time to break free from of the socialist chains of Brussels.
