The EU, which set out as an organization meant to facilitate economic cooperation and maintaining peace between European states, seems to be on its way to becoming a state in its own right.

* The V4 Report believes an EU army under the command of Brussels would be an absolute disaster. Just look at Guy Verhofstadt…or the ineptitude and mission creep (trafficking) of another EU Institution called Frontex.

Each European nation state needs to maintain their own armed forces and own border patrol. If the Europeans nation states wish to form regional alliances with each other, such as the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC), this can be a more efficient way to solve problems, like combating illegal migration.

With Brexit, Brussels needs to be massively downsized…not given new powers with an expanded scope and increased budget in order to sap away more sovereignty from the nation states.
