Greece: One Dead as Rival Afghan Migrant Groups Clash in Central Athens.
Afghans again? One wonders how many so-called “unaccompanied minors” were involved in this clash? Maybe Finland and Serbia will have second thoughts about relocation? 😬
– One person was killed and at least one other was injured on Thursday during a violent clash between rival migrant groups in the center of Athens.
The incident occurred in broad daylight on Menandrou Street, in a busy part of the Greek capital.
According to eyewitnesses, the two groups attacked each other with knives.
Greek police have confirmed that the clashes took place between Afghan migrants.
Up to this moment, no arrest has been made.
* Surely, the EU and Greece do not expect any sane European country to take in these aggressive male migrants. To get around these abnormal EU handcuffs and directives that often make deportations cumbersome, the best course of action may be to initiative a separate deal with Erdogan (with cash incentives that would be provide a nice incentive for Erdogan and a good investment for EU) to send him back the migrants so Turkey can deport them to Afghanistan or their countries of origin.
Unlike the EU, Erdogan does not have any issues regarding deportations. 105,000 migrants in Turkey were repatriated to their home countries in 2019.
One can surmise that Erdogan did not seek permission first.
