Always some interesting twists, oddities and creativity in regards to migration.
This is becoming quite the theatre. Maybe the goal should be “non-safe” status when it comes to migrants. It works for Hungary. 😉
Both the UN and Germany have warned against sending migrants to Hungary. 🤔🥇
1) Greece says many migrants in Turkey could seek asylum there, as Greece designates neighboring Turkey as a safe country for citizens of Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Somalia.
We cannot argue against this, except that mire countries should be on the list. but has this not been the situation for the last six years? With the possible exception of some Turk citizens, they are all illegal when they enter Greece via Turkey, a safe country according to the almighty EU.
2) Meanwhile, some courts in Germany now argue that Greece – an EU state – is not safe for migrants.
Interestingly enough, Erdogan and his Turk media also go to great lengths to slander Greece, claiming time and time again that Greece mistreats the migrants…although Turkey keeps pushing them to Greece.
We are surprised by Erdogan’s strategy, considering how much love he expresses towards the migrants. One would think Turkey would not force them to Greece, where, according to EU Uncle Erdogan, the migrants are abused.
Isn’t this against international law to send migrants to a country where they would be in danger? Erdogan?
3) On the other hand, Germany and the EU Commission get all giddy regarding Turkey’s so-called wonderful hospitality shown towards the migrants. Both have a lot invested in convincing the world that their investment in Turkey deserves humanitarian applause. 😂
So why then is Germany complaining about secondary migration from Greece (unsafe for migrants) when they often turn the other cheek regarding primary migration from Turkey, a safe country?
Greece may be getting smarter with an eye on the success of Hungary. Increase the pushbacks and scrap the welcome culture and pretty soon it will be on the UN-Germany prohibited list of unsafe countries to send migrants to.
Call it mission-accomplished…with a Hungarian twist. 👍
Let Germany and Turkey argue among themselves as to whom is the most pro-migrant after all.
