We hope others in Central-Eastern Europe (CEE) are not so naive to believe that these ‘witch-hunts’ will end with just Hungary and Poland.

Who is next?

– According to Bloomberg, the EU Commission proposal would put the power to punish European nation states in the hands of the unelected technocracy in Brussels and the big EU countries, most notably Germany, France and the Netherlands (home of big Frans Timmermans and radical Green, Judith Sargentini).

We hope others in Central-Eastern Europe are not so naive to believe that these ‘witch-hunts’ will end with just Hungary and Poland. Once the precedent is established, it will only morph into a standard weapon to be utilized by Brussels in order to control the thoughts and actions of independent countries.

Unless one aspires to become an EU slave state (Plenkovic in Croatia), no European nation state will be immune from the scorn of unaccountable and unelected Eurocrats in Brussels. Is history about to repeat itself?

– The European Parliament voted on Thursday overwhelmingly to approve a report backing a European Commission proposal that the Commission itself would be allowed to withhold funding from countries found to be violating the so-called “rule of law”.

Under current rules, sanctions against such a country, including stripping it of its EU vote, require the unanimous approval of national leaders.

The Commission proposal would allow the ‘Commission itself’ to approve sanctions; national leaders would be able to reject them by a qualified majority (at least 55 percent of countries representing 65 percent of the EU’s population).

Essentially, this would put the power to punish member states in the hands of the unelected technocracy in Brussels and the big EU countries; Germany, France and the Netherlands have backed the proposal.

* Full of vengeful and foul left-wing extremists, Brussels is becoming quite the totalitarian institution. Is this really what Visegrad and the CEE nation states fought for when they broke free from the chains of communism…to be ruled like satellite states from Brussels?

While socialist governments desire to steal one’s money, the EU Project aims to enslave one’s mind. Neither has anything to do with freedom and both are threats to individual liberty and national sovereignty.

Is the EU Project and it’s false promises of collective security worth the price of losing one’s soul? We say no…it’s better to resist than to submit.

Who wants to end up like Sweden…or France for that matter?
