* Italy: Another member of the Party of European Socialists from Italy demands implementation of the “Soros Plan” to radically reform migration. The leaders of Italy (not the people, who are very upset too) are becoming a burden for Europe at the border. This cannot continue.

– Gianni Pittella, president of the radical Socialist and Democrat coalition in the EU Parliament, is urging a centralized EU asylum policy “that allocates refugees, but also so-called economic migrants, in a fair and transparent way” throughout Europe.

– This is not the first time the V4 Report has heard of this bewildering idea of “expanding and enlarging” the migrant relocation program to include other African nations and persons in a “refugee-like” situation.

– The leaders in Brussels are ardent socialists as well; expect them to pursue something similar to this soon. Deep down, they do not believe in securing the border or deporting the illegal migrants. The EU socialists worship at the altar of multiculturalism. Open-borders is their creed.

– Pittella says such a system would “make the relocation system permanent, with sanctions for member states that refuse to take their fair share of refugees”. Fair share? Who decides this? The smugglers in Libya based on the number of migrants they can send out to sea? The NGOs? What Pittella really means is unlimited migration and endless quotas.

– Pittella then continues his Soros-like attacks on the European nation states in a clear message meant to undermine their independence: “It is clear this is the only viable option, yet certain national governments are still actively undermining any attempts to fix the system. This is most evident in Hungary, where prime minister Viktor Orban is demonizing migrants and the EU to try and bolster his flagging poll numbers. We cannot allow this to continue.”

– Mr. Pittella, the V4 defiance “will continue” and you better get used to it. The V4 will not be held hostage by the open-border manifesto of the hardened socialists in Italy or Brussels. It does not work this way in the lands of Visegrad.

– Pittella has one thing right; the EU is at a tipping point and there will be no EU solution to the migrant crisis. How could this be possible, considering the deeply held differences between the leaders of the Mediterranean Club and the V4 nation states? The European nation states must move the inept leaders of Brussels aside to tackle the problem themselves; they have much more at stake.

– As far as the accusation of “flagging poll numbers”, Mr. Pittella may be trying to revive his own poll numbers by attacking Viktor Orban and the V4. How did that strategy work for Martin Schulz in Germany?

– Like Schulz, Pittella is starting a fight he cannot win. Viktor Orban and the V4 will answer the bell. The V4 will not be accepting migrants from Italy or Greece.

We do believe others must start putting heavy pressure on the Italian government to start performing their duties at the border. Others have offered to help only to be rebuffed.

We look forward to the Italian voters providing Mr. Pittella & Co. with a heavy dose of reality in the next election.

Onward V4!
