Kosovo (illegitimate state) wants to join NATO too? Who else?

Kosovo (illegitimate state) wants to join NATO too? Who else? 🤦‍♂️ Expanding NATO (perpetual war guarantees) to nations that have little to do with America’s national security is not wise for USA…or CURRENT NATO members of Europe. Don’t burn-out and weaken the Golden Goose, or it may walk away someday. It’s not about others who want to join…but whether USA wants to perpetually grant more war guarantees to countries that could imperil its security by involving it in regional conflict that have nothing to do with its security. 👉 But Moldova is the one in a tough spot for sure…Ion Chicu, who served as Moldova’s prime minister from 2019 to 2020, offered this tough but realistic assessment: Chicu says it’s naive to think other nations will come to the aid of a small country like Moldova. Chicu says a country this size doesn’t really rate in what he describes as a power struggle between Russia and the United States. “Let’s put it bluntly,” says Chicu, “nobody will protect us.” “Ukraine became a battlefield between two large geopolitical powers. That’s the reality. It is exactly what happened back in … Korea, Vietnam or Syria.” * Who benefits? Of course, the defense industry and the military industrial complex, which is vast and includes masses of loud think tank ‘opportunists’ (self-proclaimed experts 😂) and retired military hacks (from all those US invasion blunders of the past) trying to suck in as much money as they can from their wealthy sponsors. They like to sell masses of arms and for others to fight. Forget what Putin thinks, current NATO members in Europe would be wise not to push too hard for new members…and the USA should be very cautious of adding new war guarantees for nations which have little impact on its national security. Some day, future generations of Americans may sour on this relationship if it starts to entail the Golden Goose (US) in wars that have nothing to do with its national security. Just as Europe cannot rely on Turkey or some other foreign regimes long term to defend its borders from illegals, Europe would be wise to understand that one day it must be able to defend its own territory and to resolve its regional disputes without the US, which will have to adapt to different goals as a world power. Why shouldn’t the UK and Poland (plus other WILLING European nations ) form their own alliance apart from NATO so they are free to act on their own involving regional conflicts that they perceive as vital to its national interests? How long must it remain dependent on USA? This idea that Hungary or some other sovereign nation cannot decide on its own whether to enter foreign conflicts outside of NATO commitments is absurd…and is just the type of group behavior that EU federalists yearn for. ** Just a thought, but has one done any critical thinking about the future repercussions of an ever-expanding world military force? Or can mankind and the Gods of Democracy be trusted with this type of power? What could go wrong with global organizations and their controlled media and courts determining compliance with the New World Order? 🤫 https://www.npr.org/2022/04/15/1091998660/ukraine-russia-war-moldova-security-transdnieste
