* Austria: The most likely outcome to emerge from the election will be a coalition between the ÖVP and the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ).
– This would be a nightmare scenario for Angela Merkel and the EU. They will be stunned and shaken. Hopefully, this will add momentum to reducing the influence of Berlin and Brussels.
– However, we were amazed by one sentence in the story:
“After all, in Germany Angela Merkel and the CDU/CSU will most likely stay in power, and it is far from clear that the sort of policies promoted by the likes of Kurz, the FPÖ or Doskozil would go down well with the ever-powerful German Chancellor.”
What is this nonsense? Who cares what Angela Merkel thinks. She is the Chancellor of Germany, not the Queen of Europe. No doubt, the leaders of Germany and Brussels are using each other to advance their agendas, similar to how the CDU and CSU collaborate to maintain their political monopoly in Germany.
Angela Merkel must be challenged from outside of Germany and her power base in Brussels must be targeted and tamed. It has grown into a monstrosity that threatens the freedom and sovereignty of the European nation states.
