Merkel and Turkey: Germany Ditches Insulting Cartoon Depicting Turkey as Greece’s Mother.
In our opinion, this cannot be a simple oversight; Germany is simply too efficient for this. They probably wanted to make some type of point but were more concerned and obsessed about not offending Turks more than Greeks.
Thats how the political-correct, multicult world of Germany works. But at least Greeks protested, which forced Germany to back down.
– A German government cartoon which inexplicably depicted Greece as a young girl holding the hand of her mother, representing the nation of Turkey, has been withdrawn after a furious social media backlash by Greeks residing in Germany.
But the sight of the young Greek girl under the protection of “Mother Turkey” angered a great many social media users. It was viewed as if Turkey was portrayed as being more successful than Greece in dealing with the pandemic, which — according to official data — is absolutely not true.
* It had nothing to due with Coronavirus success…and everything to do with German obsession of not ‘insulting’ Turkey, or more specifically ______ 🤔😉
