The EU refuses to fund ‘border walls’ (it prefers reception centers)…so Poland takes decisive action, approving the construction of a $407 million, 60-mile wall along the country’s border with Belarus.
* The self-funding is preferable regardless; the EU would attach too many strings and would likely be counterproductive in efforts to pushback and deny entry.
The EU is not needed.
– The EU Commission president was adamant, as well as clueless: “I was very clear that there is a longstanding view in the European Commission and in the European Parliament that there will be no funding of barbed wire and walls…We will keep up the pressure on the Lukashenko regime.”
Sure thing Ursula, just like the pressure on Turkey. 👌
– An EU Commission clerk went even further, admitting that stopping illegals were not part of the EU plan: Stefan De Keersmaecker told Poland’s PAP state news agency that erecting a wall along the bloc’s eastern flank was inconsistent with the E.U.’s mission of “building a Europe, which will continue to develop fundamental rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law.”
In other words, building an EU committed to mass migration.
** Further proof that Ylva from Sweden’s EU Migration Pact should be dead upon arrival.
Not only is the Pact useless when it comes to stopping mass migration, but it is counterproductive to those who wish to defend Europe.
