* The EU is still trying to obtain an EU-wide scheme to ‘manage’ migration. We prefer the approach of Hungary – and recent action by Lithuania and Poland – to stop migration.
Nor should nation states be obliged to accept illegals that the government of Italy chooses to grant entry to. This would set a dangerous precedent by providing an outlet to a country to transfer an endless stream of new arrivals to others instead of forcing them to actually defend the border.
Yet, the EU seems divided on this issue, and some states, particularly in the West EU bloc, will continue to welcome new migrants…which will be devastating to all member states in the long run.
With the dynamics of multiplication, eventually the new arrivals coupled with prior generations will obtain voting power, free movement and big numbers. It’s all about demographics…and it’s not looking good.
